Restaurant San Giorgio Café

Interior and furniture design

Next to the Palladian basilica the Giorgio Cini Foundation has just inaugurated its latest project to enhance the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. A space dedicated to the art of cooking and Italian gastronomic culture, the San Giorgio Café with Filippo La Mantia, is the only refreshment point present there. The project was entrusted to Ilaria D’Uva and her company, which since 1959 has been developing museum technologies and services in Italy and managing the guided tour service at the Foundation. The San Giorgio café seats 80 (about 50 in the outside space) and is open every day except Wednesday, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
