16th-century house

Old town, Verona

A 14th -century medieval building, which was sumptuously restructured in the 16th century for the marriage of the young heir of an important Veronese family, then fell into decline in the early 20th century, has finally been restored to its antique splendor. Some flats have been created in it, where the restored antique decorations are matched with contemporary furnishings. Vertical gardens and incredible original decorations have been created in some re-discovered spaces; in many cases all the furnishings and wood, marble and Venetian terrazzo flooring were made by the best local craftsmen.
